There are several things you can look for after a storm to determine damage that has been done.  Check your windows for shattered glass, broken panes, or damaged frames.  Heavy rains can cause broken tree limbs and with those limbs come leaves and small branches, check to make sure these aren’t stuck and clogging your gutter.  Take a walk around your home, make sure there are no holes, breaks or splitting which are common side effects of a bad storm.
